Earth's Atmosphere

The next chapter in the Earth Science Interactive Notebook series features Earth's Atmosphere which will focus on the following concepts:
Science Interactive Notebook, Earth Science, Cloud types, Earth's Atmosphere Layers, energy transfer, wind, air quality, air pollution

Earth's Atmosphere - students will understand that the atmosphere is divided into layers which are classified according to temperature changes with altitude.

Atmosphere: Energy Transfer - students will learn that there are three types of thermal energy transfer that work together to heat the troposphere.

Winds & Water - for this concept, students will be able to classify clouds according to shape, then further classify them by their altitude.

Air Quality - using the Air Quality Index created by the EPA, students will graph data and use that information along with the AQI to identify sources of pollution for three different cities.

This chapter will be an awesome addition to your student's Earth Science Interactive Notebooks, giving them the resources they need for both concept comprehension and review.

Enjoy!
